Description:
PEL-PHEN 127, 193 & 196 are ethoxylated phenol with 2, 4 & 6 moles of
ethylene oxide respectively. This series of products is useful for the production
of phosphate esters that provide extreme pressure lubrication to metal working
fluids. These phosphate esters are also useful hydrotropes for HI&I applications.
PEL-PHEN 127 is a convenient starting material for preparing higher ethoxylates
of phenol. Its low free phenol content eliminates the environmental issues that
the handling phenol can cause.
