PEL-SIL 9872 silicone glycol additive improves the performance of brown stock pulp defoamers used in the Kraft pulping process. It may be used in compliance with 21 CFR 176.210 to manufacture paper and paperboard for indirect food contact. They enhance the dispersion of formulated defoamers and it also defoams at temperatures above its cloud point. Additionally, it increases water drainage from pulp mats by reducing entrained air. It is compatible with organic defoamers and is 100% active. PEL-SIL 9872 is an uncapped polyether modified polydimethylsiloxane.
