PEL-SIL CW300 a low molecular weight, nonionic silicone-based wetting additive that can reduce the surface tension of aqueous solutions significantly lower than conventional nonionic surfactants can. It is stable at neutral pH and compatible with other anionic surfactants and nonionic surfactants. Even at concentrations as low as 0.1 percent, PELSIL CW300 wetting additive will reduce surface tension below 22 dynes/cm. Therefore, it produces very rapid wetting and spreading on hard-to-wet surfaces. It shows an excellent and consistent performance over a wide range of substrates in various coating formulations. Its applications are found in plastic coatings, wood coatings, radiation curing coatings, automotive coatings, and printing inks, etc. PEL-SIL CW300 can also be used as an ingredient in pesticide products, or as a tank-mix adjuvant for foliar applied chemicals. It allows complete coverage with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and other agricultural chemicals. PEL-SIL CW300 meets the requirements of US EPA regulation 40 CFR 180.910 regarding “tolerances and exemption from tolerances for pesticide chemicals in or on raw agricultural commodities.” It is approved for both food and nonfood use.
